Which AirPods work with Shrimping?

Shrimping works with AirPods Pro (1st gen or later), AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Max, and Beats Fit Pro. AirPods 1st and 2nd generation are not supported as they lack motion sensors.

How does posture tracking work?

Shrimping uses the motion sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer) built into your AirPods to measure your head tilt. When you calibrate, the app records your "straight" position. It then measures how far your head tilts forward from that baseline.

Does Shrimping record my audio?

No. Shrimping only reads motion sensor data from your AirPods. It never accesses the microphone or records any audio.

Can I use the app in the background?

Yes. Once you start a session, Shrimping continues monitoring your posture in the background. You'll receive push notifications when you slouch past your threshold.

How do I recalibrate?

Go to Settings > Device > Recalibrate. Sit up straight and hold for 3 seconds. This resets your baseline.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone > tap your name > Subscriptions > Shrimping > Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Shrimping > Settings > Account > tap "Upgrade" > scroll down > tap "Restore Purchases."

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings > Data > Clear All Posture Data. This permanently deletes all session history. Your settings are kept.

How do I add a widget?

Long-press your Home Screen > tap the + button in the top corner > search for "Shrimping" > choose small or medium size > tap "Add Widget."

My Apple Watch isn't getting haptic alerts.

Make sure the Shrimping Watch app is installed on your Apple Watch (check the Watch app on your iPhone). Also verify that haptic buzz is enabled in Shrimping Settings and that you have a Shrimping Pro subscription.
